Well, it's been a while, again since I have posted, mostly due to the fact that there has been a lot going on over the past few weeks. I had my second exhibition a couple of weeks ago which was exciting :)
This show was held at the Lake Kawana Community Centre on the Sunshine Coast. Whilst it was fantastic, it was a little disappointing, as we had a very low attendance rate. Unfortunately there were a number of factors that were out of our control that meant we didn't get the hoped-for numbers.
These are some images from the show. I didn't take a huge number of good ones.
This is the new layout - doubled in size since the Gold Coast show.
My incompetent detective - losing his papers and looking for clues in the flowers.
ARRRGGGGHHHHHHH - fun on the playground
The artist - I made the easel at the show
Yeah ok so this is what I was next to - Damien's AMAZING display. I took so many photos of this one.
Oh yeah, just some nice detail or something.
Bit more
Some more you say?
Yeah. Hi to Jeff and Steven in the background :P
I love this castle.
OH yes, and the other display I was in the sandwich with - Harry Flipping Potter
Hogsmede. (Congrats to Donna on such an amazing model, again. Inspired me since the very first show I went to)
This one is from Andrew's display.
More of Andrew's display
Bit more :)
Jeff's AMAZING collection of figs. I loved this explanation of how they were all in families and had a story. Was such an awesome take on the power of Lego as both a building and story-creating medium.
I love Adrian's train station.
Nice details on this building.
A Friends Hotel. (Chloe/Ross' display)
After the show, I wanted to make some changes to the buildings, so the demolition and rebuild began.
A slender building.
A corner building - I feel like it is a community library.
Just another building.
The next show is on the 14&15 of May and IS IN BRISBANE! Wooohooo. I can't wait. I am also moving, and will be living within walking distance of the venue, so I am super happy about that :)
Anyway, the Lego will be packed for a couple of weeks whilst I settle in to my new place, but I am fairly confident it is all ready to go.
That's all for now.
