Some street improvements and Micropolis planning

I was a little bored last weekend and I decided that I need to improve what I felt was the weakest part of the display... the BACK CORNER (duh duh duhhhhhhhhhhhh).

I don't have any particularly good before shots, because I really didn't like that area. I have now added a video store or cinema and a little townhouse.

I think the scale works really nicely, and the rest of the street looks a treat!

Now to just get a whole city of this.

I also planned what will be my addition to our group build, the micropolis. 

I thought I would design a church. It was pretty tricky to get the scale right, and it ended up as a cathedral but I am super happy with the outcome. I have ordered most of the bricks, and I can't wait to get them :)

I haven't got a hold of some of the roof bricks yet, they could prove a challenge, but hopefully I will be able to find them pretty soon.

MOC School - First attempt at a MOC from my Detective's Office

I've been procrastinating for some time now to demolish my Detective's Office and make a MOC out of it.

Finally, last night I sat down and did something about that.

I love the fact that there are a large number of 'brick' profile, profile bricks (LOL) in this set. I saw an opportunity there for a school building. Also the colour palate and window types also lead me to this idea.
